Evidence before interpretation.
PricingTrace is designed to make every published fact inspectable and every uncertainty visible.
Source hierarchy
Official vendor pricing, legal, support, and changelog pages are primary. Public user discussions may support a clearly labeled feedback theme but never replace an official commercial term.
Capture and preservation
Scheduled jobs fetch configured sources, record the final URL, status code, timestamp, normalized text, content hash, and an immutable snapshot. A new snapshot does not automatically become a public change.
Structured comparison
Plan names, prices, billing periods, limits, trial language, renewal, cancellation, and refund fields are compared separately. Cosmetic page changes are ignored. Rules and model extraction must agree before a high-confidence change can publish automatically.
Uncertainty
Regional pricing, tax, currency, usage, negotiated discounts, app-store purchases, promotions, and grandfathered plans may differ from public list pricing. Baseline or low-confidence records are labeled and linked to the official source.
Corrections
Send a source-backed correction to support@pricingtrace.com. We preserve the correction history and do not silently rewrite prior evidence.
